Ephesians 1:17 introduces Apostle Paul's prayer to God on behalf of the saints, who are at Ephesus, can and should be accepted by all who have been received into covenant with God through the blood of Jesus. Apostle Paul's prayer is the leading of the Holy Spirit for the past church as well as the 21st-century church. As Apostle Paul demonstrates in his earnest prayers to God on behalf of the church, believers must follow the same example in thanksgiving God for His love and kindness to us who believe in God's justice and righteousness. Apostle gives "weighty instructions" to believers who are serious about their journey and eternal inheritance. (Hebrews 9:15)
Today, Christians are allowing themselves to become entangled with the world system by expressing themselves negatively. However, Apostle Paul admonishes the church at Philippi to "do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world". (Philippians 2: 14-15 (NKJV))
"Do all things without murmurings and disputing's" (Strong's Concordance)
The Greek definition defines murmurings as grumblings, grudging murmuring; it also defines disputing as discussions that are (internal).
I surmise that murmuring is in man's soul-ish realm: comprised of mind, will, and emotions. However, internal murmuring may be invisible to the naked eye. Still, it produces hostile agitation in the spirit realm, which hinders and blocks Godly mandates to which a Christian must adhere if they desire a Godly relationship with Father God.
For a man to abide in a continuous relationship with his creator, he must know who to be a spirit being. Man is a triune being created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, man is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a body. However, most only delve into the realm of the senses (Kenyon, The Hidden Man: An Unveiling of the Subconscious Mind). Therefore, man must worship his creator in spirit and truth to avoid murmuring.
Apostle Paul said Christians "worship by the spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh" (Philippians 3:3). As believers, we know that John 4:23-24 reads, "But the hour is coming and now is when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
The definition continues with the following phrases from the Greek word study: disputing is a consideration by implication purpose (infolding, involving, to clasp, to wrap up: entanglement (Webster's 1828 Bible Dictionary). As noted, disputing can be internal with attributes such as debate, doubt, imagination, and reasoning thoughts. In the external position, the mind is out of control and filled with every evil imagination in its thought process. For example, Joseph's brothers, Saul, David, Solomon, and Absalom, were leaders who internally and externally murmured and disputed. The results were self-destructive to themselves and their family's future.

The blood covenant is in vogue for every believer who will believe and receive. Murmuring and disputing is not the believer's portion, but the blood covenant is the portion and life of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Therefore, on the grounds of the blood covenant, believers can do all things knowing that blessings, protection, favor, and care are for the receiving of the blood covenant.
Jesus bled from His mind: blood vessels broke because of stress; therefore (emotional and mental healing belong to the believer, and they can worship in spirit and truth without complaints and disputes that the world has deemed appropriate to express one's feelings and emotions.
"Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus…" (Philippians 2:5)
Apostle Paul states, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8). There is no more excellent advice than what has been given to us not to be guilty of complaining are disputing.

"But I urge and entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in perfect harmony and full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions or factions or divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and your opinions and judgments." 1 Corinthians 1:10 (AMPC)
